My research focuses on human interaction with technology, primarily within the field of transportation, and employs a systems theoretical approach that utilizes both qualitative and quantitative methods. Here is a selection of studies that I have conducted.
On-road study conducted in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA, where users experienced a car with two automated driving functions in rush hour traffic
Explorative study in which professional bus drivers got to use an advanced driver-assistance system, that could automatically dock at bus-stops, on a public road
Workshop and questionnaire study that investigated how people experience park-and-ride services and how these could be designed in the future to better meet commuters' needs.
Simulator study that involved eight participants who viewed a pre-recorded video of a driven route and at six pre-defined traffic situations rated their perception and understanding of the situation.
